Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Google have jointly announced the launch of an optimized Chrome browser tailored for Windows PCs powered by Snapdragon processors. This release precedes the arrival of PCs featuring the Snapdragon X Elite compute platform, anticipated to debut in mid-2024.
Google Chrome stands as the world’s most widely used browser, continually advancing with new functionalities, performance enhancements, and security updates — which include experimental generative AI capabilities.
Hiroshi Lockheimer, Senior Vice President at Google, emphasized Chrome’s core principles of speed, security, and user-friendliness across various platforms, expressing optimism about extending this experience to more users through collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, ensuring an optimized browsing experience for ARM-compatible PCs.
